Using IndieBots

IndieBots is a free directory. We check each listing against the maker's own pages, but prices and terms change. Every listing links to the page we checked and the date we checked it, so confirm there before you buy or rely on it.
Nothing on the site is legal advice. License and commercial-use summaries are our reading of each maker's own terms on the date shown; check the maker's current terms before you ship a game.
Some Visit links are labeled affiliate links: if you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes a verdict. See the disclosure.
You may link to and quote our pages with a link back. Don't copy the directory wholesale or present it as your own.

A sponsorship is a labeled placement for one Monday-to-Sunday week (Pacific time), or a labeled mention in that week's newsletter, at the price shown on the sponsor page when you book. You pay in full when you book, through Stripe.
We review every booking against the sponsor policy. If we decline it, or don't approve it before its week starts, we refund you in full automatically. Once your week has started it isn't refundable, unless we fail to show your placement, in which case we refund you.
You confirm that you're allowed to promote the tool, that your name, link, description and logo are accurate and yours to use, and that the link doesn't lead to anything illegal, deceptive or harmful. You give us permission to show them during your booking.
We may remove a placement that breaks the sponsor policy, with a refund for the unused days. Sponsorship never changes a verdict, ranking, price or other listing.
Click counts in your report come from our own redirect and exclude known bots. We don't promise a number of views or clicks.

The site is provided as is. We aim for accuracy but don't guarantee that every listing is complete, current or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the site or a sponsorship is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Bookings already paid keep the terms in place when you booked.
