Unity's official plugin adds a set of Unity skills to the coding agent you already use, covering things like 2D and tilemaps, UI Toolkit, localization, multiplayer, LevelPlay ads and in-app purchases, so you can ask in plain language instead of explaining Unity first. It is free and needs Unity 6.0 or later, but it is skills and context, not a model: your agent does the work and you pay for that agent. Unity's own docs say it adds little for simple uGUI work, and the license (Unity Companion License) only covers use with Unity projects. Unity also offers a free MCP server if you want the agent to operate the Editor directly.
